Bee Line

Случайно узнал, что такое 'bee line' в английском языке.

bee-line: The shortest line from one place to another, like that of a bee to its hive when loaded with honey; an air line.

То есть считается, что пчёлы настолько совершенно ориентируются в любых условиях, что обратно к улью возвращаются по кратчайшему пути. Так что 'bee-line' означает 'прямиком'.
